VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS

Cobra Hyde fully and wholeheartedly supports the ending of 'VAWG'

Women and girls experience violence and discrimination every day in society,

simply because of their gender.

Millions of women and girls will face many forms of violence throughout their lives.

In the longer term, violence and the threat of violence can stop girls from going to school, from being able to choose if and who they talk to and from reaching their full potential.

At Cobra Hyde we will always do what we can to help end violence against women and girls within our local area.

We work with our community to try and help put a stop to violence against women and girls to create long-term change.

We do this by holding workshops that are FREE for all females within the community to attend.

To view our 'Workshops' page please Click here.

SAFEGUARDING THE YOUNG AND VULNERABLE

Child protection and safeguarding are subjects we take very seriously.

Cobra Hyde fully supports and upholds the CMAA's Child protection and

safeguarding policy.

The clubs head instructor has also completed the 'prevent' online training course.

Please click here to go directly to the CMAA's safeguarding page where you can find out more information on all of the above.

(Alternatively please click here to view more details on the DBS and child protection)

MARTIAL DIVERSITY

Being respectful of diversity is massive in all walks of life as are equal

opportunities. This has always been a part of our instructor training

programme and ethos at the club.

Martial Diversity is the practice of respecting and including people from a range of different social backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, physical/mental abilities etc. into martial arts giving all the same equal opportunities to train even if this means altering the syllabus for the individual, if safe and practical do so, in order that they can be included.

DUTY TO CARE

Cobra Hyde is proud to have been awarded and therefore able to display the

Duty to Care Badge after successfully completing all online courses and assessments.

The Duty to Care Toolkit is a series of Knowledge Checks and coach learning

resources set across the five distinct pillars that represent the Duty to Care ethos:

Safeguarding, Inclusion, Diversity, Well-being and Mental Health.
